His final farewell

Ramesh's final ceremony took place at Mount Auburn Cemetery (mountauburn.org) in Cambridge, MA on August 5, 2010 as arranged (His final ceremony). Mount Auburn Cemetery is a national historic landmark, founded in 1831, and is one of the most beautiful and historic landscapes in America.

Ramesh's family members (his wife, daughter, parents, brother and in-laws), friends and colleagues attended the event to say their heartfelt final goodbye to him. They conveyed their goodbye with their tears, wishes, flowers and prayers. The ceremony included a special Puja, eulogy (His life journey) and cremation.

During the last six days, so many of his friends and colleagues offered their time and efforts, big and small, worked hard mentally and physically and contributed financially. They showed their support greatly and made sure everything happened as smoothly as possible. Thanks a lot to each and every one of you, though you did so not to receive thanks or anything, but for love of Ramesh!

The pictures of the chapel and flowers are actually taken at the service. Sorry Senthil, I would like to avoid publishing other pictures on the internet for many reasons.

It was an emotional event but it made me realize how lucky I am to have known him. Being away from our country, we only have friends whom we can count on to help us and our family when need be. It was touching to see so many of his friends be there to support his family. Ramesh's who is probably watching us from somewhere must be so proud of all his friends, colleagues and family...
